Marion grew up outside of Chicago and is the eldest of 5 children.  Her mom died suddenly when she was fourteen.  During this difficult time, she began attending a “Young Life” program and was introduced to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She came to Tulsa when she was seventeen to attend college and loved the city so much that she has made it her home ever since.

It was 1995 when a culmination of life experiences and “out of control” circumstances left her in desperate need of HELP.  Plumbline Ministries had just been”birthed” by Terry Ewing (founder), when she sought counseling. It was through two years counseling, much healing and growth that God began revealing a new path for her life.  After a two year biblical counseling course and internship with Terry, she became a pastoral counselor at Plumbline in 1999. In December 2014 she became ordained as a pastoral counselor. Marion has continued to be inspired by her life verse, 2 Cor. 1:3-4, comforting through pastoral care in the counseling office, through teaching Boundaries classes in the past and currently Codependency classes.

 Favorite Bible verse:

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Amplified… “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement), 4. Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God”.
